MEET YOUR VOCAL COACH

When becoming a vocal coach in New Zealand, it’s not enough just to have a BMA in music or touring experience. I am so grateful for the time and effort that has been poured into me over a course of about 8 years from some of the top vocal trainers in NZ. I also have received professional development at Estill training courses under Anne Marie, an Estill master trainer from the UK. As a singer myself, I regularly up-skill on my own, and I am a part of an online community of vocal trainers who encourage one another under master trainer Hinekoia Tomlinson. After working as a vocal coach for over 10 years, It’s still an honour to watch that lightbulb moment when a concept is picked up by someone. I make it a priority to focus on being a flexible communicator, to help the learning process of each individual student.

Wow. The gig is going smoothly. Every time I correct my breathing, I don’t have to try as hard. The techniques Tamsyn has taught me have been a lifesaver.
- Kristian.

A stand out thing for me about Tamsyn is that I am quite a self-conscious person, and that doesn’t even come into play in the lesson. I feel find to just belt out & try things. Tamsyn seems to put me at ease.
- Cassia.

I was quite croaky when I arrived at “Winter Vibes”, You recommended a vocal steamer. It worked wonders. I was able to play my second set and hit all the high notes and able to project my voice really well.
